Geetesh: Can you please tell us more about your company, Brandwares? Also, what brings you to the Presentation Summit in San Antonio?
John: I’m going to the Presentation Summit to finally meet some of my peers in the presentation business, as well as to introduce my new book about adding capabilities to office, OOXML Hacking.

Geetesh: Many organizations just change a background to an existing template, some go a little further, but as they use the same template across thousands of slides, they find that their template does not evolve and grow with them. What’s the best approach to creating a corporate template for PowerPoint?
John: The best approach is creating a new corporate template is to pair a talented designer (for beautiful, exciting design) with a PowerPoint production professional (for a template that works as expected). Suggestions from such a team will often lead to handsome well-constructed presentations with features that the client may not have even thought of on their own.
