In this conversation, Bethany talks about her session at the upcoming Presentation Summit 2020, being held virtually this year from August 10 to 13, 2020. is the official media partner for the Presentation Summit.

Geetesh: Bethany, you are delivering a session on Google Slides at this year’s virtual Presentation Summit. Please tell us more about what this session will cover, and what takeaways the audience can expect from your session?

Bethany: Especially with our recent acceleration into the remote working culture, professionals in the industry may be seeing a client-driven push for more Google Slides services. The problem? It’s no PowerPoint.

This session will focus on Google Slides functionality and examining how to please clients with a less than robust tool. We’ll examine shortcomings and workarounds for creating templates, decks, and working with clients and team members in a shared environment.

Geetesh: You use PowerPoint and Google Slides. What other tools do you use? And how do you make sure you maintain a smooth concert between all these tools to create a better presentation workflow?

Bethany: Beyond PowerPoint and Google Slides, we also design in Keynote and the Adobe Creative Suite. Creating consistency between mediums is all about having a systemized brand identity and using that system to create foundational documents in each application.

Moving between PowerPoint & Google Slides is a frequent challenge. Clients do not often recognize that conversions can break various elements and functionality. Anticipating those obstacles and staying ahead of the game with client management is a large part of offering Google Slide services.
