Vincent Hoorpah has been developing and leading technical teams for more than 15 years as CTO or co-founder. He loves building products with a focus on productivity and efficiency. When he was CTO of a company of more than 130 people, he had to regularly update macro roadmaps for the other C-levels, and it was always complicated and time-consuming to present them during meetings. This is how the idea for SuperJane was born.

In this conversation, Vincent talks about the SuperJane Add-in for PowerPoint.

Geetesh: Vincent, tell us about SuperJane, the PowerPoint add-in. What motivated you to create this add-in, and what is its raison d’etre?

Vincent: SuperJane is not just another PowerPoint add-in, it is a game-changer for anyone who values both efficiency and quality in their PowerPoint presentations.

Our motivation behind creating Jane stemmed from a simple yet important thought: traditional methods of creating Gantt charts and timelines in PowerPoint were super time-consuming and often sacrificed design aesthetics.

We saw an opportunity to improve this process by developing an add-in that combines the power of advanced templates with an intuitive interface, all while using the web best practices.

But what truly drives us is our mission to deliver top-notch designed charts in record time. We started with Gantt charts (because without Jane) it is a nightmare for many users due to the extensive time and skill required to achieve standout design or make any edits. However, this is just the beginning – we plan to expand our offerings to include tables, matrices, agendas, and more, ensuring that users can create flawlessly well-designed presentations with ease.
