With Adobe Presenter you can create scenario-based training slides that are easily customizable — these scenario templates contain the complete question vs. answer flows. For example, if you select the Business scenario, the flow is pre-defined as one question with multiple options. You just need to select the number of options and select the correct answer number. When you publish these scenarios, the user views only the questions initially. The options within the scenario-based training are displayed logically. The user has to complete answering the question by selecting the right answer, otherwise the user cannot navigate to the next slide as the play bar and the side bar are locked.

Text boxes in PowerPoint need to be moved and resized within different areas of the slide. While you may think that selecting and resizing is all that is to be done, that’s not the entire truth because there’s so much more you can do even with mere resizing — if you know that these options exist.

Gerry Praysman is product marketing manager for Brainshark, Inc. Brainshark’s sales enablement solutions help companies drive greater revenue through faster training, increased demand, and more successful sales conversations. With Brainshark, users can turn static content, such as PowerPoint documents, into online and mobile video presentations. Brainshark also powers SlideShark, the award-winning app for showing, sharing, and tracking mobile sales presentations. Thousands of companies use Brainshark to improve the reach and results of their communications, while dramatically reducing costs.
In this conversation, Gerry discusses SlideShark’s newly announced support for PDF documents.
Geetesh: SlideShark now supports PDF files. What does this mean for you and your users?
Gerry: It’s a big deal for both. As you know, SlideShark has traditionally been a PowerPoint-focused app — letting mobile professionals access, show, share, and track their presentations to improve productivity and effectiveness. We’ve amassed millions of users across 160+ countries, who’ve together uploaded more than 200 million slides. At the same time, we recognize that sales conversations and other presentations don’t always rely on PowerPoint exclusively. So, we’re taking the app to the next level of utility — expanding it to a multi-file presentation and content management solution via PDF support.
This is great news for our users. They can fluidly switch between showing and sharing PowerPoint and PDF files from their iOS devices. This gives them the flexibility to incorporate multiple content types — such as marketing brochures or rate cards — into their conversations. Plus, lots of organizations convert other document formats, such as Excel, Word, and Keynote files, into PDFs to lock down and control the content. Now, those PDFs can likewise be viewed, presented, and tracked in SlideShark.
To that end, the analytics piece is another big benefit here, as SlideShark tracks all content shared through the service. So with our PDF support, sales teams, other employees and organizations at large have that much more insight into how effective their content is — how and when it’s being viewed, how much is being consumed and more. Organizations can also see how their sales reps and other users are accessing and presenting content, illuminating best practices and highlighting which documents are most effective.
Geetesh: This PDF support is available in SlideShark’s business version. How does this version differ from the basic, free version – and what abilities other than PDF support do users get?
Gerry: That’s right – SlideShark PDF support is a feature of SlideShark Team Edition, our multi-user business version. Team Edition subscribers, 30-day free trial users and other Brainshark customers with Team Edition activated can take advantage of the new capabilities.
To compare, the free version of SlideShark has compelling features that meet the needs of many individual presenters. Team Edition is geared more toward business use – with PDF support as well as advanced analytics, greater storage allotments, the ability to broadcast presentations to up to 25 attendees, phone support, administrative features (such as the ability to add, manage and delete users, and organize and distribute content), support for single sign-on and more. Team Edition users can also take advantage of SlideShark Anywhere, which extends some of the key SlideShark features to users on their Macs, PCs and Windows 8 tablets – not just iOS.
We’re very excited – and our users are as well – about SlideShark’s new PDF support, and the productivity benefits it unlocks for mobile professionals. Thanks, as always, Geetesh for the opportunity to discuss our new features. Happy holidays to you and your readers!
