Gil Segal is the creator of ToolsToo Pro for PowerPoint and an expert technologist with a deep understanding of a wide range of architectures, tools, and technologies and their impact. Gil is always on the lookout for ways to automate manual tasks in any software he uses and has been a PowerPoint power-user since the mid-90s.

In this conversation, Gil talks about the new ToolsToo Pro v11.1.

Geetesh: Gil, you just released the new v11.1 update for your ToolsToo add-in for PowerPoint. Can you share some information about new tools and features?

Gil: ToolsToo Pro for PowerPoint is focused on slide editing productivity. With that in mind, V11.1 features 3 new tools:

  1. Remove Empty Placeholders: When you work on a slide that uses a layout with placeholders and then you decide to delete one of the placeholders, PowerPoint puts an empty placeholder in its place, so you then have to delete that one too!
  2. You can leave the empty placeholder, but while this doesn’t impact the presentation itself, the empty placeholder is just visual clutter. With a single click, this new tool deletes all the empty placeholders in your presentation making the presentation easier to work with and a bit smaller in size.
  3. ToolsToo Remove Empty Placeholders

Geetesh: Does ToolsToo have a trial version available? If yes, where can we get access?

Gil: Yes, a free 30-day fully-featured trial version of ToolsToo Pro for PowerPoint is available for download.
