Geetesh: David, please tell us more about the upcoming PowerPoint Presentation Design Deep Dive 2021 online event. What motivated you to create a second presentations-related event, and who are the speakers?

David: Here’s a little secret that people in the world of graphic design rarely want to talk about: Presentation design is very different than traditional design — it requires different tools, different rules, even a different mindset! So graphic designers and marketing specialists who are asked to build presentations usually become frustrated or resigned. But it does not have to be like this! When designers learn what presentation design tools, like PowerPoint, can do, and how to use them properly… it’s amazing!

One of our goals at CreativePro is to help people smile more when they work. And we saw so many smiles during and after CreativePro Week last year (which includes Click: The Presentation Design Conference), we knew we needed to offer more on this topic.

So this year, February 18-19, we’re offering two days of “deep dive” training and inspiration. We have some amazing presenters sharing their wisdom, including Mark Heaps, Paris Sims, Amy Balliett, Richard Goring and Hannah Harper from BrightCarbon, Bethany Auck from SlideRabbit, and Nolan Haims.

Geetesh: What can attendees expect to learn from this event, and is there anything they can do to gain the most apart from attending? Also, will recordings be available for attendees from other countries, or just for people to view again?

David: The February event, called PowerPoint Presentation Design Deep Dive 2021, covers two basic areas: visualizing data (on day 1) and creating remote/virtual presentations (on day 2). Whether you’re a beginner or have extensive experience in presentation design, you’ll get a lot out of these two days!

Even better, every attendee will get access to video recordings of every session, plus speaker handouts, for a full year afterward. So if you can’t watch the sessions live, you’re not out of luck. We’ll also sell these recordings for a limited time after the event for people who missed the event.
