The first tab within the Toolbox in PowerPoint 2011 is the Custom Animation tab. This tab provides options to reorder, change, and remove existing animations on your slides. To use any of the options in this tab, you must have a slide object that has animation added to it.

You have already learned that there are essentially three types of connectors that you can use to link shapes in PowerPoint 2010 — also you can add any of these three connectors (straight, elbow, or curved) as per your requirements. However, what will you do if you added a connector of one type and later realize that you should have used a different type? You need not delete that connector, and draw another one because PowerPoint 2010 allows you to change from one connector type to another fairly easily.

Other than the menus, the toolbars, and the Ribbon, PowerPoint 2011’s interface contains a floating set of tabs called the Toolbox. The Toolbox has four tabs: Custom Animation, Scrapbook, Reference Tools, and Compatibility Report. Each of these tabs is filled with options that let you perform important tasks within PowerPoint.

Connectors are lines that link different shapes, and yet they are somewhat different from conventional lines because connectors, as the name implies stay connected to the shapes they are linked from.
