Once you add a connector to link shapes in PowerPoint 2010, you can then format their line thickness, dash attributes, etc. to match your requirements. Connectors are just like conventional lines in PowerPoint, even as far as their formatting options are concerned — so changing the color attributes of a connector is almost like changing the color of any line, as you will learn in the following steps.

We have already explored the Toolbox within PowerPoint 2011 for Mac, and how its various tabs are chock-a-block with options that let you work easily with your slide objects.. The second tab within the Toolbox is called the Scrapbook, and what the Scrapbook does in itself is very unique because it is one of the very few features only available in PowerPoint for Mac, with no equivalent option for Windows users of PowerPoint. Yes, it is an extension of the clipboard, which even Windows users have access to, but the Scrapbook is a clipboard that can be cataloged and saved for future use.

Connectors may be different than lines in certain ways because they are linked to the shapes they connect — move the linked shape, and the connector repositions itself with the shape. Yet in other ways, connectors are just like conventional lines in PowerPoint, especially when you explore their formatting options. You can thus add arrowheads to your connectors (or remove them), make your connector a dashed line rather than an undashed one, and also change the thickness of the connector.
