FlevyPro: Conversation with David Tang

David TangDavid Tang is the founder of Flevy, the leading provider of business frameworks and analysis tools. Flevy’s materials are of the same caliber as those produced by top-tier management consulting firms–most were developed by seasoned executives and consultants with 20+ years of experience. Prior to Flevy, David worked as a management consultant for 8 years.

In this conversation, David discusses FlevyPro, a subscription service for frameworks and diagrams that you can use on PowerPoint slides.

Geetesh: Tell us more about FlevyPro – what benefits do subscribers receive?

David: Certainly. FlevyPro is a subscription service for on-demand business frameworks and analysis tools. The primary benefit to subscribers is access to our curated library of business documents and tools. These include PowerPoint diagrams, presentation templates, business frameworks, Lean Six Sigma tools, interviews with CEOs and business experts, and others.

We are constantly adding new documents that we either develop in-house or acquire. This growth is fueled by subscriber demands. In other words, subscribers decide what type of materials we add. They can request and vote on management topics.

Additional benefits FlevyPro subscribers receive include discounts to all Flevy marketplace documents and exclusive partner offers (e.g. discounts to PowerPoint add-in software, free tickets to networking events, etc.).

Geetesh: How is FlevyPro different than your Flevy offering?

David: FlevyPro is a subscription service. Subscribers, as detailed above, gain access to a curated library of documents and tools (the FlevyPro document library), among other benefits.

Flevy is a marketplace for business documents. It’s an online marketplace, similar to eBay and Amazon, except our products are purely business documents (e.g. business training guides, PowerPoint templates, financial models). You can go to Flevy and procure documents on a pay-per-download basis. You can also sell your business documents on Flevy, just like you can sell other non-document items on eBay or Amazon.

The most important distinction is that FlevyPro is a subscription model, while Flevy is a pay-per-download model.

Another important point is that FlevyPro and Flevy each house different documents. The documents are mutually exclusive.
