The Omnivox is different from other speaker systems – in fact it’s not a speaker by itself in the first place. Omnivox is actually a small round device that turns any glass or wooden surface into a speaker merely by being in contact with it. Place a connected Omnivox device on a boardroom table and you have one large speaker that produces smooth and even sound.

Take-off ShowPoint is a free Microsoft PowerPoint add-on that enables you to start a selected presentation remotely. Choose a common folder on your viewing computer. From any other computer in your network, you can copy a presentation to that folder. Take-off ShowPoint will detect that new presentation and will open and run the slide show automatically until a new presentation is sent.

Take-off ShowPoint supports Microsoft PowerPoint versions 2000, 2002, and 2003.

Here is another case study that explores the use of DataPoint. This time, it’s the First Tennessee Bank.

The Asset Quality and Disposition Division is responsible for the quality of our assets (loans) and reporting this to management. To achieve this goal we use several Microsoft Access databases to gather, organize, sort, summarize, and generate reports and presentations. In the past, we would export data to Microsoft Excel and then link to our Microsoft PowerPoint presentations. Now with Take-off’s DataPoint software, we are able to skip the middle step of using Microsoft Excel, saving us a lot of time and completely automated. We are currently generating some 8 presentations a month and plan to migrate more of our reports and presentations.

Take-off DataPoint can link Microsoft PowerPoint presentations to various data sources. You can display a presentation that is continuously updated during the show without changing the layout of the presentation. You can display text, numbers, images, graphs etc.

In this post, the Digital Producer site adds more: Take-off DataPoint is a revolution as it is the first program that offers this functionality for Microsoft PowerPoint. This feature can be used to inform your audience with live data. You can welcome visitors at your company, give directions etc. Or inform personnel about production milestones versus the current status. Or display news headlines, weather, currency exchange rates, upcoming events, sport results and much more.
