Tom Bunzel

Tom BunzelIf you can’t be there to present your PowerPoint slideshow, let Apreso help you provide “live” narration.

Tom Bunzel adds, “Presenting with Apreso is a breeze. The only glitch I’ve encountered was with one animated chart, which animated properly during the presentation but appeared as one unit in the final output. That brings up other advantages of this product. It’s a great rehearsal or practice tool: Show colleagues how you intend to present certain material, and then get their feedback. Rehearsing with the Apreso presentation is superior to PowerPoint’s native rehearse timings feature in that it also captures what you have to say, allowing you to hear yourself and how you come across before you take your show on the road.”

Cliff Atkinson

Cliff AtkinsonDo you control your PowerPoint culture, or does PowerPoint control you? For many organizations, what appears to be a situation under control is in fact a system that’s out of control. When organizations attempt to control branding by implementing a typical PowerPoint template, they ensure their presenters overwhelm or bore their audiences, which is a loss of control of brand. When organizations seek to control information by encouraging the use of bullet points on PowerPoint slides, they scatter their intellectual assets into unmanageable fragments, which is a loss of control of information.

Cliff Atkinson explains how you can gain control of your PowerPoint culture.

FlashPaper could have a promising future but that won’t be realized until the product is unbundled from Contribute. That is not because Contribute is expensive ($100) but because I bet users would be reluctant to buy the whole product just for the FlashPaper component.

Glenna Shaw

Glenna ShawFor those of you who don’t know, KISS is an acronym for Keep It Simple, Stupid. Simplicity gets right to the heart of communicating effectively. The content of your presentation should be clear and simple so that it’s easy to understand. Using clear and simple language also benefits people whose first language differs from your own. This includes persons who communicate in sign language.
