It’s apt that the first story we highlight in today’s newsletter is about a Covid-19 video created in PowerPoint. Richard Goring of BrightCarbon shares how this video was created and more. Brian Daly of Hypersay talks about their new Live Streaming feature. We look at the new Black Illustrations clip media from 5Four Digital.

PowerPoint users of all versions can explore completely-updated tutorials on searching Flickr for Creative Commons pictures, attributing them in PowerPoint slides, and Pixabay, a copyleft source of visual content. Also, make sure you do not miss the quotes, press releases, and templates featured in the last week.

There are tools available to show websites on PowerPoint slides like LiveWeb and LiveSlides. I’m recommending them often. You can use that to draw a web browser object on your slide, and then specify the URL to show in there. When you run your slideshow, you will see that website on a given slide. Every time the slide is shown, the website output is rebuilding and displayed again on your television screen or other display. People often use this technique to grab legacy data from a reporting website or e.g. to show local weather information.

I’ve been working for home because of the coronavirus lockdown, so I decided to update and revamp two tutorials. The new content has almost doubled the ideas! In the “Picture Copyrights” article, you can explore a story about what happened to someone who put in copied pictures on their PowerPoint slides. In “Is a Picture Really Worth a Thousand Words?”, you’ll find nine such scenarios, along with ideas that will help you make sure that your pictures are certainly worth a thousand words. We also feature Christian Lund, who talks about Templafy, an enterprise-grade productivity and governance platform for enterprise document, presentation, and email creation.

PowerPoint 2019 for Windows users can learn about the Save and Save As tabs of Backstage View. Also, make sure you do not miss the quotes, press releases, and templates featured in the last week.
