We first bring you an interview with Mike Parkinson, who talks about Build-a-Graphic, a collection of graphics that “helps every PowerPoint user—non-designers and designers alike—make better content and graphics while saving money and time.” We also feature Ken Hilliard, who talks about his PowerPlayer device to display presentations that “includes hardware, software and a cloud-based content management service (CMS). All a customer needs are a TV display with HDMI and Wifi Internet at the TV point’s location.”
For all presenters, we look at how you can create PowerPoint Outlines in Microsoft Excel, and in Word Online. PowerPoint 2016 for Mac users can explore how to Convert Text to Shapes by Fragmenting and Customize Quick Access Toolbar. Type text within PowerPoint, and the font type and size are decided for you, based on the Theme applied to your presentation. For example, if you use PowerPoint’s default Office Theme, then all your typed text will sport the Calibri typeface. You can quickly change the Theme Fonts set altogether for your presentation, and all text instances will switch to the default typefaces of the new Theme or Theme Fonts set. However, there may be times when you want to override these defaults and choose a typeface that is different, or even a different font size. Let us now explore how you can choose different font types and change the font size of the selected text on the slide in PowerPoint 2016 for Mac.

PowerPoint enables you to use its repertoire of Shapes to create some amazing artwork. Further, the Merge Shape commands allow you to create complex shapes by merging several simple shapes. Additionally, these options also let you convert your text to shapes so that you can see the text even on a computer that does not have a particular font installed.
