Tsufit

Tsufit is a former lawyer who has been described by the Toronto Star as “a starburst of energy― bright bubbly and upbeat” and by Publisher’s Weekly as a “coaching dynamo”. Her book, Step Into the Spotlight! has been endorsed by Tom Peters, Jay Conrad Levinson, Jack Trout, BNI founder, Ivan Misner, Les Brown, Al Ries, and many other New York Times best-selling authors and experts.

In this conversation, Tsufit talks about her upcoming webinar, which is part of the Outstanding Presentations Workshop 2019 series.

Geetesh: Tsufit, you are talking about Step Into The Spotlight! How to be a STAR every time you present in your upcoming Outstanding Presentations Workshop webinar. What will be the biggest takeaway for attendees?

Tsufit: Geetesh, attendees will come to understand what some of the most successful business people have always understood, that is all business is show business. Steve Jobs certainly understood that and used show business principles in all Apple’s affairs from creating suspense and drama to positioning your competitors to using visual language and even by taking inspiration from a Calligraphy class making the typeface on the Apple computer calligraphy based rather than just Times New Roman. These show business principles are available to all presenters but many are timid about using them. If one is willing to learn the principles of how to attract and hold an audience’s attention, one can use this to business advantage whether presenting to a large audience or just one person.

Geetesh: Can you tell us how presenters can benefit audiences by connecting their narratives to stories?

Tsufit: It’s all about story. Business is about telling (and selling) stories. Show business understands this but “regular business” often doesn’t. Stories break through the barriers that audiences put up to protect themselves from being “sold”. No one wants to be sold. But people love to buy. And people love to come to their own conclusions, rather than being told what to think, whether it’s students in a classroom, trainees in a business setting or potential clients. Stories engage. Stories captivate. Stories sell.
