Geetesh: Rick, please tell us more about your June Sweepstakes for the Presentation Summit 2021?

Rick: Because we will be hosting a dual audience, we will award two winners:

  • if you are attending in person, you could have your transportation to the conference paid for. So that would be a one-way air ticket if you fly, your fuel paid for if you drive, or rail, bus, dune buggy, whatever.
  • And if you are attending virtually, you get a second pass to give to anyone you want.

Geetesh: How does one take part in this sweepstakes — what does one need to do?

That took a bit of thought, because we don’t like any incentive that punishes folks who were early adopters. That is why we don’t run promotions that are just for first-time patrons. What about the people who have been coming for the last 15 years? And if this were just for those who signed up in June – how would you feel if you honored us by registering back in January? So, the key is that everyone who signs up by June 30 is eligible – those who signed up in January and those who do it on June 30. Register by then and you’re eligible to win.

There’s a bit of fine print for the sweepstakes here.

Geetesh: Can you tell us more about your upcoming Presentation Summit 2021 conference, which is your first hybrid conference being held in Tampa, Florida and virtually online at the same time?

Yes, after nearly two decades, it is exciting to be doing something brand new – that’s a Covid silver lining. In keeping with our desire to have all the seminars live, not pre-recorded for the virtual audience, all keynotes and seminars will be livestreamed directly from the ballrooms. Everyone will be watching the presenters and their visuals. We know that it is a challenge to bridge the gap between the two audiences and to help with that, there will be dedicated seminar hosts, sitting right up front and monitoring the virtual chat. They will be direct conduits to the presenters so our virtual audience will feel as if they really do have the ear of the presenters.

We will also have virtual hosts who will be stalking all of the conversations, looking for trends, prevalent questions, and any issues that people might have. Their exclusive responsibility will be to address the needs of virtual audience members.

I’m sure there will prove to be things that we haven’t thought of, but we hope that people first notice that, hey, we have thought of a lot!
