Whenever you type within a Text or Content placeholder in PowerPoint, the text shows up within a bulleted list by default. Even when you import an outline in PowerPoint, the entire content other than the slide titles ends up as bulleted text. There may be times when you want to either remove the bullets altogether from the list, or convert into a numbered list. In this tutorial, you will learn how you can change a bulleted list into a numbered list.

These ready-made frame corners are already within PowerPoint slides — and have been provided in both black and white colors. Both variations are contained within two separate slides in one presentation that you can download. Just copy them and paste individual frame corners over your inserted pictures. Make sure you place them on the top-left corner of your pictures. For the other three corners, duplicate these frame corners, and rotate them.

In this issue, we bring you an amazing amount of goodies! First of all, you can download our special Halloween PowerPoint Kit — this is actually a “done” presentation with animation, music, and an eerie design — just change the pictures to your own pictures and enjoy! Speaking about Halloween, you must look and vote for your favorite pumpkins at the Duarte Pumpkin Contest — we have a story on this event too. We also get you textured backgrounds that can be creatively used within your slides. We also have an exclusive interview with Rick Altman about the Presentation Summit. There are plenty of other tutorials — learn about text fills in PowerPoint 2010 for Windows. And if you are a PowerPoint for Mac user, learn about formatting bulleted lists.

Have you ever tried your text to fit along the edge of a circle, or even within a circle? Or on a curved path — or even as a roller coaster? Most of the time, you need not play as much with words but sometimes if you want to create a quick logo, or even an easy graphic — then you will find PowerPoint’s Transform tools for text very useful. Transform is a special stylizing option available in PowerPoint only for text — follow these steps to explore more.

Learn how you can make your text arty and on-a-path by using Transform options in PowerPoint 2010m for Windows.

When you create a presentation in PowerPoint 2013, you’ll notice that the aspect ratio is always 16:9, which is the new default — if you just accept these defaults, then all your slides will be in widescreen (16:9) rather than normal (4:3) aspect ratios. All these new slides use colors, effects, fonts, etc, derived from the active Theme. In PowerPoint 2013, each of the new Themes has four variants built-in — to explore these variants, access the Design tab of the Ribbon and you’ll see a new group called Variants. These variants are actually separate Themes!
