Motti Nisani is the CEO of emaze, a company that produces a tool of the same name. With emaze, you can create presentations in virtual 3D worlds or simply in slides. He has a B.Sc. degree in Engineering from Tel-Aviv University, Israel.
In this interview, Motti discusses what’s new about emaze.
Geetesh: Your Emaze product has evolved to become a viable alternative in the world of presentations. How do you position Emaze in a world populated by PowerPoints and Prezis?
Motti: I am confident to say that emaze is the best presentation platform today surpassing Prezi and PowerPoint. Emaze’s main advantage is high-end design. Each presentation looks great and unique in its experience, it can be a 3D, a video, or a 2D presentation. With emaze, users cannot go wrong and create non-attractive presentations. In addition, the HTML5 technology and the fact you can view the presentation on all device’s desktop, tablet, and mobile is a huge advantage.
Geetesh: Can you tell us more about the improvements and features you are exploring for Emaze in the near future?
Motti: Our main focus now is to enable users and designers to create a custom template on emaze platform. This capability will enable us to scale very fast. Users will not have to use our pre-made templates, they can make their own. In addition, designers will be able to sell services to users and companies to create unique templates according to their brand. Our plan in the near future is to create a design market eco-system on emaze to connect designers and users.

After adding an audio/sound track to your PowerPoint presentation, you can let the inserted audio span across all your slides in your presentation by selecting the Play across slides option. This is done when you need the same music playing through all your slides. But what if you want the music to play only across some successive slides? What if you want the music to play from slide 1 to 12, and let all slides thereafter play without any music? Or you may want to add another audio clip for the next set of slides? Either way, it is possible to limit the number of slides that your music will play across.

Once you create a Photo Album, notice that the default template for Photo Album is a black background with white text. You can go ahead and use this template – but you can easily change the appearance of the slides by applying a Theme to your Photo Album presentation. You can of course do it outside the Photo Album presentation — in the normal way that you apply a Theme. But you can also apply a Theme right within the Photo Album dialog box.

The Photo Album feature allows you to insert hundreds of pictures on your slides with just two or three clicks. And these pictures can be edited in myriad ways. You can change the picture layouts, add captions, change pictures to black and white, etc. Additionally, you can also change the frame shapes of the pictures, to give them an effect such as drop shadows, or a black border, or even a picture that’s contained in a frame with rounded corners.
